IDEAL Program

Igniting the Dream of Education and Access at Lipscomb

Vision: The IDEAL program at Lipscomb seeks to provide education and career development to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) while encouraging friendships and increased independent skills that lead to a better quality of life.

Who: Students between the ages of 18-26 who have completed high school and have an intellectual or developmental disability (ID/DD) are encouraged to apply.

What: The IDEAL program is a two year program that is designed to encourage and support students with ID/DD to experience college as their peers do.  IDEAL students will take classes, go to sporting events, eat in the cafeteria, and enjoy just being a college student.

When:  We are now accepting applications for our Fall cohort. All application components must be submitted by April 1st.
