Christian Scholars' Conference

Lipscomb University presents the Thomas H. Olbricht Christian Scholars' Conference, June 7-9 on Lipscomb University's campus. 

The mission of the Christian Scholars' Conference is to create and nurture an intellectual and Christian community that joins individuals and institutions to stimulate networks of scholarly dialogue and collaboration.

The conference was created in 1981 under the direction of Dr. Thomas H. Olbricht, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Pepperdine University, and has since been hosted by several universities associated with Churches of Christ. The conference calls together scholars from a wide variety of disciplines in the liberal arts, sciences, business, law, education and medicine to develop their own academic research and to reflect on the integration of scholarship and faith.

Wednesday, June 7

8:00 – 11:30 AM               Memorial Pilgrimage for Victims of Racial Terrorism, ticketed event

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM         Registration in Ezell lobby

10:00 AM – all conference: Malherbe Papers Display in Ezell lobby

11:30 AM – 12:50 PM         Lunch with PhD students in Mezzanine, Bennett Student Center
                                            Doctoral students in all fields are invited to attend a casual networking lunch
                                            with university administrators from universities affiliated with the CSC.

Conference Registration includes: 

Regular Rate - $165 through May 9 ($195 after May 9, 2017)

Graduate Student Rate (MA, PhD) - $125 through May 9 ($155 after May 9, 2017)

Registration fees cover all sessions and regular meals starting with dinner Wednesday night through Friday breakfast. Some events are an additional fee and outlined below.
