It’s another new year for Lipscomb Hockey and 2014-15 promises a lot of excitement.  The Mustangs will once again compete in the Greater Nashville Scholastic Hockey League for the Henry Hines Cup (Tier 2) State Championship against private and public schools from all over Middle Tennessee.  We’ll also skate against competition from Knoxville and Memphis as well.

The new season also brings a new partnership with Brentwood Academy along with new jerseys and new places to play.  Back behind the bench for their second season leading the program will be the coaching tandem of Rich Melin and Paul Gant who bring experience coaching at both the high school and travel levels.

The coaches are also very excited to announce that they will once again offer a Junior Varsity program in addition to Varsity.  There are still openings for this year’s JV team for new skaters at all levels from grade 8 through their senior year.

The goal for the hockey program is consistent with the mission of Lipscomb Academy, to provide a competitive athletic program in a faith based environment that teaches young men (and women) lesson’s that will stay with them for life.
