In Cold Blood: Forensic Science Academy
June 1-5, 2015
This one-week, non-residential academy for current 6th through 12th grade students focuses on the science behind the popular TV shows. Students will experience "hands on" forensic science, investigating a "crime scene" and collecting and analyzing the evidence using modern forensic science laboratory methods. After analyzing the evidence, including blood, fingerprint, firearms identification, chemicals, hair, DNA, and arson, the Academy will culminate in a final presentation to the "jury." A forensic science field trip will be part of the Academy. For questions, contact Dr. Linda Phipps at firstname.lastname@example.org.
